How long does Vietnam eVisa approval take? 

Evisa processing time varies depending on the service tier selected and the current volume of applications being handled by the Vietnam Immigration Department. 

Under normal conditions, a standard visa application takes approximately 3 working days from the date of submission, provided all required information and documents are complete and accurate. 

In some cases, approval may take longer than expected and the visa may not arrive by the estimated date. Unless the trip is urgent, applying at least 2 week before departure is strongly recommended to leave enough room if anything comes up. 

Although the standard Vietnam eVisa processing time is usually 3–5 working days, approval time may vary depending on the season and application volume. 

During Vietnam’s peak travel periods and major holidays such as Tet Nguyen Dan, National Day, or summer travel season, the number of visitors increases significantly, which can lead to longer processing times. During off-peak periods, applications are often processed much faster. 

*Note: May, June, September, and October are usually less crowded travel periods, so applications are often processed faster. Consider planning your trip during these months for a smoother visa process.
